WHAT WE DO

Susan C. Jackson & Associates is a therapeutic and relaxation massage clinic specializing in Swedish therapeutic and relaxation disciplines. These massages are helpful to people of all ages and conditions, and their uses range from the treatment of motor vehicle injuries to myofascial release. For example, deep tissue massage, sports massage, pregnancy massage, trigger point therapy, lymphatic drainage, TMJ dysfunction, stress reduction, tension removal and pain relief.

Our Clients will experience exceptional service from our 6 Registered Massage Therapists.

OUR COMMITMENT

During relaxation massages, we focus on incorporating the entire body using techniques that increase blood flow and decrease muscle focus more than focusing on specific problem areas. These are treated with specific techniques and treatment plans. Every individual’s treatment plan will be different based on your needs. Daily living activities, stress factors, motor vehicle accidents and job-related injuries, as well as the manner in which your body copes with these stressors is as unique as you are. We guarantee you will leave our office feeling much better than when you came in.

Not only do we care about your whole body being restored, but we pride ourselves in educating our clients so that the individual can apply our valuable information to their own daily lives.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR FIRST VISIT

Registered Massage Therapists are required to do an initial assessment and take a full health history. We will develop a treatment plan that is right for you.

The most important aspects of massage are client comfort and empowerment. We take the time to answer all your questions. Our next step is to discuss the procedure for actually getting on the table and the draping protocol. No area of your body will be undraped unless we have full consent and it is appropriate for your treatment technique.

At the end of the treatment, the therapist will conclude with some possible home-care modalities that consist of hydrotherapy (ice and heat), stretches and /or strengthening exercises.

WHAT TO EXPECT FOLLOWING YOUR FIRST TREATMENT

As mentioned earlier, everybody’s treatment plan is individual. Therefore your experience will differ. Here are a few possibilities:

Relaxed, fatigued, energized, temporary muscle soreness, increased flexibility, relief from aches and pains.

We hope that this information will help you determine if massage therapy is right for you.
